We spent the months of March and April in Picayune, Mississipi assisting Heritage Baptist Church. A few months ago I included the following scripture in our prayer letter: “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Matthew 9:37”. A major blessing to the NTCP ministry and to the building project here in Picayune was the arrival of Dewain and Linda Crouch. God answers prayers; “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

We have gotten a lot done in the last 60 days. The electrical is 80 percent done, most of the ducting for the AC is in place, almost all the sheet rock is up along with a lot of the mudding and taping being done. The Sanctuary area has its first coat of paint and is starting to look good. We even textured and painted one of the bathrooms and have a working toilet and sink. (HOORAY for indoor plumbing)

The folks herehave been very good to us, feeding us well and helping any way they can. The pastor has worked with us every day, unless other duties call him away from the project. The church is blessed with men who know how to do plumbing, electrical, and the heat and air. The ladies and younger folks have also pitched in with the work.

Our wives are a blessing. Besides making our trailers into homes they are always willing to help with the work however they can. Mary is getting good at finishing dry wall and has run our power dry wall sander on several jobs. She got to try her hand using a nail gun and doing some framing on this project.

We were hoping that we could have Heritage Baptist Church in their first building by their tenth anniversary on May 10th but the congregation will have to wait a bit longer. Please pray for our safety in work and travel, our health, and that we will be open to God’s direction to our next project.
